Awwwhhhh BUMMER chica! But hey LB does sound nice . . it's FLAT! That's always a plus, right?
Well! Nike's loss, lady. Maybe next year you'll be running with the "popular" crowd. ha haLong Beach in October does sound like a good one! And I bet it's not a snooty, cliquey race like the Nike.
you have to be selected to run in that race? bummer..
I'm so sorry! It IS a bummer and you get all disappointed. Screw em, save the cash:)
boooo, i was so hoping you'd get in too.... gotten into 'trouble' with us LOL. LB sounds good though, at least there is still an alternative, and hope you get in next year :)
that sucks! sorry, Alice.
That's a drag. Things happen for a reason-right? I know that doesn't help much! Thanks for all the nice comments on my posting! Have a great weekend!
I am sorry! It really sucks majorly when you don't get picked. You are right, it does feel like you are the only one not invited to the cool event. That is exactly how I feel after getting my rejection letter. Sounds like your plan b might be even better.
What we should do is make up a bunch of tech t-shirts that say "The Not Selected For Nike Runners" and wear those to the other half marathons going on around the same time... LOL. I didn't get in either, but I'm not as crushed as I was last year.
I didn't get in either. Totally Nike's Loss.
So sorry! Long Beach sounds fabulous though.
Well, crap! Maybe next time.
Long Beach is awesome in October! I should know.. I live right over the bridge! We can do drinks, dinner, have fun...it will be awesome! I usually run the LB half...so you'll be in my HOOD!!! Nice wine bars in downtown LBC!! Woo Hoo you're coming to my hood!!!!
I "herd" all the cool people were mooooving on over and running in Long Beach!
See, Penny's already planning the party for Long Beach. I mentioned it in my last comment, but I'll do it again: Long Beach is actually one of the better halfs in Southern Cal.
Oh Man! That sucks!
